Your Next Steps
① Come to church regularly.
One of the best ways to keep your faith active and growing is to regularly experience God’s presence with others. We hope you’ll do that at CLC! Join us at any of our weekend gatherings, or even online. We can’t wait to see you again!
② Read your Bible daily.
We believe the Bible lays out the best roadmap for us to live our lives and experience all that God desires for us, It’s the final authority for our lives and communicates ultimate truth. Whether you go with a traditional Bible or want to try something digital, start with the book of John in the New Testament. Here’s a great place to start:
③ Talk with God.
One of the best ways to have relationship with someone is through communication. It’s the same with your relationship with God. The very One who created the universe wants to talk to you! He wants to know you personally, and talking to Him—called prayer—is how we share our hopes and fears, get direction, and find peace. Best of all, you can do it anywhere, anyhow, anytime. Just start talking—He’s listening.
④ Get Baptized.
Baptism is an outward expression of an inward, personal decision to make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life. The Bible teaches that anyone who follows Christ should also follow Jesus’ example and be baptized. Want to find out more about this next important step.
⑤ Attend Discover 101
We’re glad you got started in your faith, and we want to help you connect to the community of faith here at CLC. We encourage you to come to Membership 101, a fun and relaxed evening where you will make new friends, catch the passion & vision our pastor has for the church, and discover how you can make a difference as you grow in your faith.
⑥ Join a Serve Team
The best thing any follower of Christ can do is to connect with other people, helping others find out how to have that same life-changing faith. Jesus asks His followers to get active and get busy—and we have many ways to do that by getting involved in one of our serve teams. We have an army of volunteers each week that help create environments for people of all ages to experience God. Click here to find out how you can get involved.
⑦ Join a Small Group
God designed us to grow in relationship with other people. There is nothing like having a community of friends to encourage you as you pursue your faith together. We have Small Groups that help answer questions you may have as you get started in your relationship with Jesus – and others as well. ⑧ Share Your Story
Also, we’d love to hear your story of how God’s been working in your life. Following Jesus is the most important decision any of us will ever make. While believing in Him secures our salvation, it also helps us experience new life today. It’s what Jesus promised when he said, “I have come that they might have life!”
